Documentation
If your business employs 5 or more people - and that includes the owners and any part-time staff - then you need written health and safety documentation. The Law requires that you have (and display on site) a written health and safety policy statement. Linked to this statement will be the arrangements that exist within your organisation for dealing with health and safety.
Bravanark can produce your written documentation for you. We will visit your premises and take note of any arrangements that already exist. If none do then we will advise you on the best way of dealing with health and safety issues within your company or business framework. Your Policy and Arrangements Manual will then outline and formalise those arrangements. It will name the key players within your organisation and their health and safety responsibilities and will show where everyone fits into the overall structure of the organisation’s health & safety strategy.
Your Arrangements Manual then outlines your organisation’s policy for dealing with all aspects of health and safety within your workplace. It covers things like hazard reporting, communication and consultation, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), fire precautions, machinery, noise, accident and incident reporting, display screen equipment, first aid, electrical safety, employee security and much much more.
